Darius Dickson Ishaku, born on July 30, 1954, in Lupwe, Taraba State, is a Nigerian architect, urban planner, and politician.
He served as the Governor of Taraba State from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023, under the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Before his gubernatorial tenure, Ishaku held ministerial positions, including Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Minister of Environment, and Supervising Minister for Power.
Academic and Professional Background
Ishaku's academic journey began at St. Paul's College Kufena in Zaria, followed by advanced studies at Ahmadu Bello University, where he earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Architecture, along with a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning.
