Is Blord now an ex-convict?

Barrister Atanda, via his Facebook page, explained that Blord cannot be regarded as an ex-convict even if he spends 26 days at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Explaining why this is so, the legal practitioner stated that Blord has not been found guilty or convicted of any crime yet, adding that being remanded in prison does not make one an ex-convict.

He stressed that one can only become an ex-convict when the court finds you guilty and you are sentenced to prison or ordered to do community service. The barrister's statement read:

"After 26 days of Eating FR££ stony watery beans at the KUJE Correctional center.
"Is BLORD now an Ex Convict?
"Atanda's Reply Below;
"The answer is NO, because the court has not found him Gui'lty of any crime yet and he is not convicted yet.
"Been remanded in Prison does not make you an ex convict, he is still very much innocent before the law as we speak, because the court is yet to find him Gui'lty.
