1. UK-based man plans wife’s deportation to Nigeria

A Nigerian man living in the UK reportedly orchestrated his wife’s deportation back to Nigeria after she allegedly began complaining about his job and lifestyle.

After marrying in Nigeria, he sponsored her visa to join him in the UK, where he worked as a care giver.

But once she arrived, she was said to have grown dissatisfied, criticising his job, claiming he misrepresented his circumstances, and venting frustrations to her family back home.

According to a TikTok account that shared the story, he then tricked her into returning to Nigeria without her knowing that he would remove her as a dependant.

UK Nigerian student faces deportation over mistake

A Nigerian student in the UK, Enyi Onyinye Grace, tearfully shared that she was issued a deportation order after making an “honest mistake” at work.

Grace stated that she had overworked beyond her permitted hours, and her employer disclosed to the Home Office that she breached visa conditions.

She explained the lapse was unintentional, citing personal stress after her father’s death.

In her words:

"I never knew that one day I would come out vulnerable like this. I made a mistake, I made a mistake at work. I overworked unknowingly. My employer messaged me to say that the home office called them, and I gave them my reasons, and they submitted to the home office, and I thought everything was fine.
"I lost my dad, my sponsor, and I tried as much as possible to come out of the depression I was passing through, even if it was hard. Ah, my heart is aching, my heart is breaking into pieces."

Sadly, her university withdrew sponsorship, leaving her stranded and with a heavy heart, she was making plans to leave the UK.

3. Another Nigerian man deports wife from UK

A Nigerian man living in the UK reportedly facilitated his wife’s deportation after sponsoring her relocation from Nigeria.

He claims the move came after she abused or mistreated him, mocked his job, or accused him of misrepresenting his lifestyle.

After disagreements escalated, the man is said to have removed her from his Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) and requested that the UK Home Office cancel her dependent visa, which resulted in her being deported back to Nigeria.

Nigerian lady shares job-hunting experience in UK

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Nigerian lady who paid N500,000 to secure a job in the United Kingdom shared her unexpected experience.

She opened up about why she regretted her action, sharing what she could have used the money to do instead.

What she said caught the attention of netizens, as some opened up about their similar experiences in the comment section.
