While the first air hostess was very polite and welcoming, the eyewitness claimed it was the second one who essentially caused the whole trouble that led to a passenger being stripped.

He said the first air hostess had asked Comfort Emmanson to switch off her phone politely.

But when the second one came, she gave the same instruction in a manner that was considered rude. He said this made Ms Emmanson upset.

His words:

"Throughout the flight Miss. Emmason was upset and simmering. She kept on discussing the situation with the gentleman on her right till the plane landed. She was obviously quite annoyed. I also noticed that Hostess 2 kept peeping at our row throughout the flight. She stayed upfront in the plane most of the time if I recollect correctly."

The first air hostess cared for Ms Emmanson and offered her help, and also gave her extra water.

The eyewitness recalled:

"Hostess 1 on the other hand was completely oblivious of the raging storm (at least I thought so) and was kind, polite and professional throughout. Hostess 1 gave extra water to Miss. Emmanson when she asked for it in-flight and also helped her with bringing out and returning her food tray when snacks were served and also as we were approaching landing. Hostess 1 also helped put away some of Miss. Emmanson things in the cabin above before landing."

Reactions as eyewitness gives account of what happened on Ibom Air flight

@ben samuel said:

"Even though this statement seems undeniably true to any reasonable person, many would still defend the unprofessional conduct of the airline staff, both on the plane and the uniformed thugs on the tarmac. If an SIA license holder in the UK acted like those tarmac thugs who dragged out Ms Comfort like an animal, they would never wear their uniform again."

@olaogundele said:

"In a case like this, it's important we excuse sentiment and be objective. Having read the reports from eyes witnesses, Comfort had hidden plan. A lady of her status uses an iPhone saying she doesn't know how to switch off the phone she's using and that she can't read."
