FCT, Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the party as “an assembly of Nigeria’s most confused and desperate politicians” and accusing it of spreading unfounded conspiracy theories against the APC.
In a statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party argued that the ADC’s internal crisis is self-inflicted and warned that blaming the APC for its problems is “highly escapist and irresponsible.”

“Quite apart from being an assembly of Nigeria’s most confused and desperate politicians, the ADC has distinguished itself as a peddler of rabid conspiracy theories about what the APC is or is not doing to undermine the party,” the statement read.
APC: Leadership disputes spark party unraveling
The APC highlighted the factional leadership of the ADC under David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, accusing them of “parachuting into the party like thoughtless, planless commandos” and violating constitutional provisions for leadership succession, Punch reported
“The ADC is a party that never was. By design, it was a kamikaze contraption with a ‘follow-come’ self-destructive detonator. It had to unravel and is now unravelling fast by instalment,” Morka added.
APC: INEC decision deemed valid and justified
The statement also supported the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) decision to de-recognise the Mark-led faction, saying the move was “valid in law, justified in fact, and consistent with electoral policy and democratic practice.”
“It is the consequence of the party’s reckless and desperate misadventure,” Morka noted, emphasising that the ADC’s ongoing turmoil is entirely of its own making.
APC urges accountability and focus on governance
Morka stressed that the ADC’s inability to manage its affairs renders it unfit as a credible political platform, Vanguard reported.

“A party that cannot fix itself cannot possibly fix Nigeria. The ADC has absolutely nothing to offer more than its senseless attacks against the APC,” the statement said.
He further reaffirmed APC’s commitment to governance and national development under President Bola Tinubu.
“Our great party and the administration of President Bola Tinubu remain steadfast in delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthening democratic institutions for the peace, unity and prosperity of all Nigerians,” Morka concluded.
Analyst speaks on ADC troubles
Hamma Hayatu, while speaking with Legit.ng said:
"The plan by APC is simple, the courts will delay everything on ADC until is late to pick candidate and INEC will then say is too late for you. And if they go ahead to select candidate the courts will rule that you did it without leadership. Judges are in Wikes pockets."
2027: APC sends message to Nigerians
Previously, Legit.ng reported that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has raised concerns over what it describes as a plot by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to organise protests against its leadership under Senator David Mark.
National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, alleged on his social media platforms that the APC had shifted tactics after failing to use the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to frustrate the party.
He claimed that the ruling party and its agents are now resorting to protests aimed at destabilising the opposition.
