Ganduje assures Tinubu of Kano APC’s loyalty
Speaking after the closed-door meeting, Dr Ganduje stressed that Kano APC leaders met to review the party’s position and reaffirm loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, The Cable reported.
According to him, “We decided to examine the state of the party and to assure Mr President that we in APC in Kano are solely behind him.”
Ganduje claimed that the APC in Kano had remained intact since the 2023 elections and was benefiting from high-profile defections from other political parties.
“Attributing this feat to the friendly policies of Mr President, we appreciate his policy reforms, the good work he is doing for the country and the appointments he has given to the people of Kano,” Ganduje said.

“We have commissioners and even the Secretary to the State Government who left the NNPP government and party to join our ranks,” he stated.
Ganduje vowed that the party would “work very hard to ensure success in the next gubernatorial election in Kano state.”
Focus on voter registration and 2027 polls
The former governor said the meeting resolved to mobilise Kano residents to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
“So far, we are doing very well. Our members will register and, during the election, we will come out in large numbers so that we can win. We assure you that our party is solid in Kano State and will continue to be so,” Ganduje added.
Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, also addressed journalists after the meeting.
