Weeks after the ugly social media exchange between Samklef and Simi, singer K-Solo has given his opinion on the matter and how things could have been better handled.

In an exclusive chat with Legit.ng's Ezekiel Aina, the music star submitted that Simi should not have injected herself into the matter especially since she doesn’t know the relationship between Samklef and Tems.

According to him, Samklef’s tweet about Tem’s backside did not fetch a lot of attention until Simi passed her remark.

In his words:

"What if Samklef and Tems were actually close pals and that is how they communicate? I think Simi shouldn’t have jumped at that. That tweet from Samklef had been on the thread for hours. Nobody picked any offence from it. But immediately Simi picked that matter up, it became a problem. This is the industry, there is a particular way we joke with ourselves.
"It’s like someone seeing Waje and saying ‘Omo this your backyard e bad’. It’s what we joke about as friends. But when some people like to take things to the extra mile, it becomes an issue."

Still speaking his mind about the exchange, K-Solo noted that the music producer was just having fun and he wasn’t the first to bring up the topic of Tems’ backside.

He, however, added that Samklef has been marked in the black book of so many people which is why they tend to assume he is chasing clout with his tweets.

He said:

"I think Samklef was just catching fun, it’s an issue people have been talking about before that day. I don’t know why Simi took it to the extra length and why people turned the issue around. Samklef has been in the black book of a lot of people. So when he says things, people think he is chasing clout."

On Burna Boy’s win at the Grammys, K-Solo noted that is a major win as the federal government is also trying to share in the glory.

“You can see the Nigerian government is trying to connect to it because it’s a major one for the country. It has opened a major door for the country. Now, the world will want to know more and understand African music. Not just African music, but Nigerian music. I am happy it is happening in my time.”

K-Solo added that Davido deserves a Grammy award because of how much work he puts into his craft.

He said:

"Based on the fact that Davido works hard. He is an artiste that takes his craft so serious, he deserves a Grammy too. For me, I want to say every hard worker deserves it. I also deserve it, because I have been doing a lot of Classic songs for years but the world didn’t get to hear them because of the era those songs were recorded. Now, social media is helping to take our music far and wide. Davido deserves one too.I believe his time is going to come."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Samklef tendered a public apology on social media for a statement he made about single mothers.

The music producer also used the opportunity to apologise to Simi for calling her an ingrate and a snake. His apology drummed up different reactions from members of the internet community.
