Residents of Abaji witnessed a mild drama on Monday, June 1, when three housewives refused to allow the COVID -19 response team to collect their samples.

Daily Trust reports that the three women, who were stopped to register their names for the exercise near the palace of the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, refused to come forward for their samples to be taken after their registration.

They were reported to have refused it on the ground that they were fasting.

All efforts to convince them that taking of the samples does not affect their fasting fell on deaf ears as they left the venue.
