Nigerian star Moses Simon was met with a heartfelt standing ovation from 10,000 fans in France during his return to former club Nantes.
The pacy winger signed with Paris FC on June 25, 2025, from FC Nantes in a deal reportedly worth €7 million.
He put pen to paper on a three-year contract, which will see him remain at the French capital until the summer of 2028.

The Nigerian winger is expected to earn approximately €75,000 per week, nearly double his previous earnings at Nantes.
The high point of the encounter came when Simon received a standing ovation as Nantes fans presented him with a framed photo which captured his proud moment lifting the French Cup, a trophy he won during his time with the club.
During his time with the club, the forward made 201 appearances, scored 37 goals and registered 42 assists across all competitions.
He shares a deep bond with the fans, and he took to Instagram to express his gratitude. Moses wrote:
"Thank you for the warm welcome during #FCNantes vs #ParisFC. Honoured by the tribute, happy to be back in front of the fans and to see some former teammates."
As he joins Paris FC, fans are now eagerly awaiting his recovery and contribution in their campaign, hoping the winger’s flair and experience will shine in the upcoming competitive season.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Eagles star Moses Simon took his Paris FC fans by surprise, having cut off his trademark dreadlocks after several years.
In a social media post, the former Nigeria U20 player was spotted in Kaduna with his protégé Benjamin Frederick and former Flying Eagles player Yahaya Adamu.
