Former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has confirmed his approval to support his former teammate at the national team Didier Drogba to become the country's FA boss.
Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba recently lost an election into the office of the President of Ivory Coast Football Association in which he got not vote.
The result of the election came as a surprise to many football followers who were wondering the reason mighty Didier Drogba failed to get any vote in his country.
Before announcing his retirement at the national team, Didier Drogba played 105 games for Ivory Coast and was superb throughout his career.
"It's time for change in our football. It needs modernity.
"When I say I support Drogba, it's also for the good of the country, to have a former player of his kind investing himself in Africa,'' Yaya Toure explained.
Speaking on his Instagram page, Toure told his followers, "Didier was my big brother, my captain. People talked a lot about us but we were always calm, wise. We know each other.
"Too many people tried to criticise him, the press, fans."
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Brazilian football star Willian who plays for Chelsea has reportedly agreed deal to join former manager Jose Mourinho at Premier League side Tottenham.
The current contract Willian has with Chelsea will be coming to an end this summer and there has been no fruitful discussion for the possibility of him extending his stay.
Willian who has been playing for Chelsea for the past seven years wants three-year deal, but the Stamford Bridge landlords are not ready to change their policy on the contract they offer players above 30 years.
According to the report on UK Mirror, Willian's family want to remain in London and they see their breadwinner joining Spurs as the best option they've got.
It was Jose Mourinho who signed Willian for Chelsea in 2013 during his second spell with the Blues and they have been keeping touch since the Portuguese left Stamford Bridge.
BeIN Sports presenter Richard Keys reported that the deal is already agreed and Willian will be following Mourinho to the Blues' bitter rivals.
