Segun Ibitoye’s Hubeatz: The Digital Bridge Connecting African Farmers to Global Market

Gemstone Technology Solutions has launched Hubeatz, the first digital online e-commerce web app platform connecting African farmers to global market.

The platform was designed to address the difficulty Nigerians and those in the diaspora experience in getting fresh organic food at reasonable prices due to limited access to local farmers and the lack of transparency in the supply chain.

Many consumers were often forced to pay high prices to middlemen or vendors who did not provide fresh produce, thus limiting their choices and burdening their pockets.

Launched on August 21, 2023, Hubeatz has been linking shoppers with markets with fresh organic food at affordable prices.

The Co-Founder for Hubeatz.com, Segun Ibitoye said over N80m was spent developing the first digital online e-commerce web app platform.

According to him, Hubeatz is one of the many innovations nurtured by Gemstone Technology Solutions.

“In 2023, my friend and I came up with the idea of how to link Nigerians both home and abroad with marketplaces that provide organic fresh foods at a reasonable price. That is how we came up with Hubeatz.com

“We spent over N80 million in developing the app which is the first digital online e-commerce web app platform.

“Since we launched Hubeatz.com we have reached over three thousand shoppers globally, linking them with markets with fresh organic food at affordable prices.

“Our goal is to make it more user - friendly and ensure that more people are connected to the digital platform, globally, linking them with markets with fresh organic food at affordable prices.”
