Fuji star Saheed Osupa has penned a congratulatory message to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arùsà 1) on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Legit.ng recalls reporting that Ladoja, a former governor and senator, had his coronation on Friday, September 26, at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, with dignitaries like President Bola Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde in attendance.

Saheed Osupa praises Oba Rashidi Ladoja
In a lengthy but heartwarming message, Osupa, who called the Ibadan monarch his father, stated that Ladoja's life served as a testament to his remarkable journey, from accomplished businessman to senator, governor, and now Olubadan.

"As the new Olubadan, you bring with you a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of Ibadan’s history and culture. Ibadan, a city that has played a significant role in Yoruba history and leadership, is poised to rise again and reclaim its proud place.
As you embark on this journey, I pray for a peaceful and prosperous reign, and may your ‘IDÈRÀ DÈ’ name bring solace not just to Ibadan, but to Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole," the Fuji singer prayed.

Osupa also included a snippet of his Endorsement album side 3, released in 2020 when Odulana Samuel became king to congratulate Oba Rashidi Ladoja.
The Fuji star's message comes after the criticism that trailed his colleague Taye Currency's performance at Ladoja's coronation.

Oyo indigene shares opinion about Osupa's absence
According to Moses Ojo, the organisers might not have reached out to Osupa, as he would have been there if invited.
"Yes but they didn't call him, If he was abroad and they called him, he would come. Na politics," he said.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Saheed Osupa broke his silence after Afrobeats star Burna Boy named him his Greatest of All Time (GOAT) singer on an international show.
