The England football community has been thrown into mourning as former striker who scored 13 goals for the Three Lions Paul Mariner has passed away at the age of 68, Sky Sports reports.
The sensational footballer began his professional career with Plymouth Argyle and also played for Arsenal and Portsmouth.
During his time in the national team, Mariner who had eyes for goals found the back of the net 13 times in 35 appearances for the Three Lions.

In a statement by his family as sighted in BBC Sport, the player passed away on Friday, July 9 following battle with brain cancer.
The statement from the family said:
"We regretfully inform you that Paul passed away peacefully on 9 July surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with brain cancer.
"We would like to thank all the people who came to see him through his illness for their support and the messages that were sent to him; they meant a great deal to him and us.
"A special thank you must go to the NHS and the unbelievable care that he received when he most needed it and for that we, as a family, will be forever in your debt."
Glenn Roeder dies at 65
And this is coming barely three months after English manager Glenn Roeder passed away at the age of 65 after surrendering to a long battle with a brain tumor according to Sky Sports.
Roeder was a former assistant to Glenn Hoddle in the England national team and managed top English sides including Watford, West Ham, and Newcastle.
The former Gillingham and Norwich City was a prominent player as he made over 500 career appearances as a defender.
He featured in the 1982 FA Cup final against Tottenham where he captained QPR which they lost but helped Newcastle gain promotion into the elite division in 1984.
Africa mourns Butler Masango
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that African football family wasthrown into mourning following the untimely death of Zimbabwe legend Butler Masango.
Coach Butler as he was fondly referred to was based in South Africa as the technical director and Soccer Scout at Talent Focus Elite Coaching in Johannesburg.
Although details of his mysterious death are not known at the time of this report, tributes have started to pour in for the late footballer.
