Special condition for Nigerians, other Africans

What sets most of the African countries apart from others on the list is a specific travel condition. Countries marked with an asterisk are permitted to enter Malaysia by air only.

Nearly all the African nations on the visa-required list carry that asterisk, meaning citizens travelling from those countries cannot enter Malaysia by land or sea, regardless of whether they hold a valid visa.

This condition does not apply to all countries on the list. Nations such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Colombia, Montenegro, Serbia, and India are also required to apply for a visa but do not carry the air-only restriction. India is marked separately with two asterisks, indicating a different set of conditions.

Citizenship: Australia mentions residency years for foreigners

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Australia's Department of Home Affairs outlined the residence requirement foreigners must meet before applying for citizenship.

Applicants must have lived in Australia on a valid visa for a number of years before the date they apply for citizenship.

The rules also specify how much time applicants are allowed to have spent outside Australia during that period.
