Relief As Depots Reduce Petrol, Diesel Rates Nationwide

  • Major depots in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri and Calabar reduced petrol and diesel prices between October 21 and 22, 2026
  • Brent crude climbed 4.11% to $113.30 per barrel even as local depot prices moved in the opposite direction
  • Weak demand, adequate supply and competition among marketers are driving the price cuts across key depot locations

Nigerian depot owners and petroleum marketers have reduced petrol and diesel prices despite rising international crude oil prices, as weak demand, sufficient product availability and competition put pressure on selling prices.

Brent crude rose 4.11% to $113.30 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 2.36% to $99.44 per barrel at the time of writing.
