In a video posted by @nellovybz27, the man said his parents relocated abroad and left the house, and he didn't want to leave it to remain empty.
He lamented that house agents charge too much, and landlords, too, are charging a lot of money so he decided to renovate the one he has.
He said:
"So my parents relocated to the US in 2023 and ever since, the house has been empty. You can see it's a very big space. And as Yorubas will say, if you leave a house empty for too long, it starts dilapidating. So, I didn't want that to happen to this particular house. So I decided to convert it, I mean, partition it into different segments. It's a six-bedroom duplex apartment, with two sitting rooms, four bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs and a very big kitchen. I was able to successfully convert it into a two-bedroom apartment, three mini flats and two self-contained."
The man lamented that building materials are expensive, indicating he spent a lot of money on renovating the house.
