Amaechi Alleges Looting Of Rivers State Treasury

Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past governor of Rivers state has raised alarm that the current state governor, Nyesom Wike, was planning to siphon billions of naira from the state treasury in the guise of renovating the state house.

Amaechi, according to Premium Times, alleged that Wike was employing the use of provocative utterances and smear campaigns against him to mask his secret looting of the state treasury.

In a statement on Monday, the past governor also berated Wike for trying to rope his past administration into corrupt practices.

He accused the governor of coercing civil servants to make bogus testimonies of fraud against him and his wife, Judith.

On the allegations of vandalisation and looting leveled against him, Ameachi said the Rivers Government House was intact when he vacated the house. He said If there’s any vandalisation or looting, Wike should be held responsible.
