Meanwhile, a former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo has described Nigeria as a country dripping in bitterness and sadness.
According to him, the country is destined to be a land flowing with milk and honey, but bad leadership has made it unachievable.
He disclosed this on Thursday, June 3, while getting presented with a book titled, ‘The Man, The General and The President,’ authored by Femmy Carrena, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
In another report, the minister of information, Lai Mohammed, has stated that Ahmad Gumi, a popular Islamic preacher, has not been declared wanted because there is no evidence to suggest that the cleric is inciting violence against the federal government.
Mohammed made the statement on Wednesday, June 2, when he was responding to a question from journalists in Abuja, The Cable reported.
He noted that the actions of Gumi cannot be compared to that of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
