Just in: Gbajabiamila, Tinubu, others get new APC appointment
- The APC in Lagos has brought in new members into its Governor’s Advisory Council
- Among new members of the council is Oluremi Tinubu and Femi Gbajabiamila
- The council was former by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of the state

The Lagos state chapter of the All progressives Congress (APC) has appointed more of its members into its Governor's Advisory Council (GAC).
Oluremi Tinubu and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, were among those recently made members of the GAC, Vanguard reports.

The appointment was announced on Wednesday, April 21, by the chapter's publicity secretary, Seye Oladejo.
Another lawmaker who made the list is Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District.

The party's leadership, congratulating the new appointees, said:
“The appointment provides another platform to continue to provide flawless and experienced leadership to our democratic growth. We wish them success in all their endeavours.”
Other members of the council are Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamza, former Governor of the state and Ministry for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Otunba Henry Ajomale, Otunba Bashiru Alebiosu, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Omooba Murphy Adetoro, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Alhaji S.A Seriki(Bamu), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun.
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the APC in the Amuwo-Odofin local government area of Lagos state had said there was a possibility that northern politicians would betray Tinubu if he contested for the presidency in 2023.
The party member, who spoke to Legit.ng under the condition of anonymity for fear of facing retribution, warned the APC leader to learn from the experience of MKO Abiola who was considered the winner of the June 12 election.
The source advised Tinubu to remain as the kingmaker in the party rather than trying to become president.
He expressed the fear that Bola Tinubu's political relevance may whittle down if he contests and losses the presidency.
The chieftain also alleged that the former Lagos governor’s grip on the party was domineering.
