A woman with the Twitter handle @belllahijabi has caused a massive stir on social media after coming to announce that her husband has married a second wife.
In a tone laced with great happiness, the woman said that she is more excited about the whole development than her husband.
The pious woman prayed that Allah gives their 'expanded' home tawfiq (good fortune) and protection against the spirit of jealousy that may sow the seeds of discord.

Below are some of the reactions it got from tweeps:
"This is the only reason I want to convert to Islam. Marry as many as I want without repercussions. The religion is tailored to favor the men more and I am a man."
"What type of a woman get excited cos her hubby married another woman."
"My own is why can't a woman marry two husband."
"It’s against the law in USA, if someone reports, your husband and whoever performed the Nikah will be in jail!"
"AssalaamuAlaykum May Allah keep you all firm but sis don’t share this envy is real and polygamy is hard for other women - this can destroy the relationship between you all may Allah protect you."
"Sister, May Allah keep all the three of you happy. My wife asked me to marry some one, as we had no children for 7 years. But I followed our Prophet Alaihi wa ala Alihi assalam, who did not have a 2nd wife in the lifetime of Syeda Khateeja Alaiha assalaam. Allah blessed us with 6."
"Get out of this marriage before it’s too late! There will be a third and a fourth before you know it. There will be all kinds of obscure religious explanations to back up such acts."
