It was an eye-opening session for correspondents of Legit.ng who got insight on how people living in such condition dare to have more wives and children. One of the residents spoken to revealed that the men often tell women in the community they will have more than one wife before marrying them. Women agree to this term and bear with the men when they eventually take other women.

The woman revealed that she is the second wife of her husband and does not mind him having more wives. According to her, she already has enough children and cannot endeavor to give him more. Thus, she said he is free to have more wives. She claimed her husband has three wives; her union of six years has already produced four children.
