- Lagos state police command has uncovered a Badoo shrine in Ikorodu
- The notorious ritual group has killed many people including pregnant women in Ikorodu
- The police were said to have stormed the shrine based on intelligence reports
In its efforts to get rid of the Badoo gang, a notorious ritual sect, terrorising the Ikorodu area of Lagos and its environs, the state police command on Monday July 31, uncovered the group shrine.
This Day reports that while acting on a tip off, the policemen stormed the shrine, located at the outskirts of Ikorodu town, adding that it was not certain if any arrest was also made.
Legit.ng gathered that the police team was led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Edgal Imohimi, with backing from the Inspector General of Police Special Tactical Squad (STS).
Inside the shrine were big-horned figurines and ash-colored molded figures, which happen to be the deities being worshipped by the group.
Also found at the shrine were baskets, broken eggs and left over of sacrifice as well as metal gongs, which was probably used to wake up the numerous deities placed in the room.
