Paul Biya is one of the longest-serving presidents in Africa, and his administration has been marked by allegations of corruption, authoritarianism, and elections under his administration have been contested.

However, Brenda has faced criticism from some people, who argued that she lives a luxurious life abroad and that she has a strained relationship with her family. The critics have raised the question of whether her stand against her father reflected the realities that most Cameroonians are facing.

Reactions as Biya's daughter criticises her father

The report has started generating mixed reactions. Below are some of the reactions:

Ignatius Christ Lead raised the question of perception about the issue:

"It's possible, cause viewing from a place where laws are firmly observed, she can perceive more deeply than those in the circle. As for me, Brenda is right."

Noor Farook commented the girl:

"If what she said was true, then she's right. She mentioned poverty, unemployment, and economic stagnation as what characterised her father's 42-year regime in Cameroon."

Jerry Jakosoko reacted:

"Wisdom detected. The daughter loves the father to an extent that she wants the father to take a break. He's old and weary. He's been there for years. And you know, running a country isn't milk and honey. I agree with her."
