NABTEB Announces 2025 NBC/NTC Results, Gives Performance Breakdown
- 92,875 candidates registered for the 2025 June/July NABTEB NBC/NTC exams across 1,892 centres

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2025 June/July National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, showing marked improvements in both performance and enrolment.
At the official release ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, NABTEB Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, said the 2025 results reflected progress when compared with the 2024 June/July examinations.

A total of 92,875 candidates registered for the exercise across 1,892 centres nationwide.
The figure represents a 37.08 percent rise in enrolment and a 10.77 percent increase in centres compared to last year.

Candidates sat for a wide range of subjects, including 16 engineering trades, seven construction trades, nine miscellaneous trades, four business trades and 16 general education subjects.
Of the 89,621 candidates who were graded, 61,104 representing 68.18 percent scored five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics.
A higher figure of 74,633 candidates or 83.28 percent secured five credits and above with or without English and Mathematics.
Many pass English and Maths
Performance in core subjects was also encouraging. English Language recorded a pass rate of 93.10 percent while Mathematics stood at 94.60 percent.
Dr. Mohammed observed that more candidates passed Mathematics than English Language this year, although both subjects posted strong outcomes.
On examination malpractice, the registrar disclosed a marginal decline.
A total of 435 candidates were involved in 516 cases, compared to 349 candidates and 524 cases recorded in 2024. He described this as a positive step in curbing irregularities.
The board also announced that registration has commenced for the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and Advanced NBC/ANTC examinations. Candidates are advised to visit the NABTEB portal or state and zonal offices for guidelines.
Dr. Mohammed reiterated the importance of technical and vocational education in driving innovation and preparing young Nigerians for the demands of the modern economy.
According to him, the 21st-century world requires skilled manpower, and comprehensive technical and vocational education remains a crucial pillar of development.
