Video Emerges as Governor Threatens to Kill, Bury IPOB Members Like Vultures

- The days of criminals in Rivers, including members of IPOB, according to Governor Nyesom Wike, are numbered

- Wike on Wednesday, June 3, said a time will come when the powers used by hoodlums to withstand bullets will fail them

Rivers State - Governor Nyesom Wike has restated his government's zero-tolerance stance for armed gangs and criminals in Rivers state.

The fiery and outspoken governor stated that his administration will continue to hunt and neutralise criminals who kidnap and terrorise innocent citizens, especially students.

He gave the assurance during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Ahoada campus of the Rivers State University (RSU) on Wednesday, June 2.

Wike said anyone who is guilty of unprovoked violence in the state, irrespective of status or alliance to his government, will definitely face justice.

The governor added that the days of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who pride themselves as being invincible with spiritual powers against bullets are numbered.

Governor Wike, therefore, called on hoodlums and thugs in the state to repent or be doomed in no time.

He declared:

“When people say ‘IPOB, they’re carrying juju,’ no problem. That’s what you say. But what’s happening? Are they not dying? Let nobody deceive you with juju.
“Take today, all of you criminals who are here, 2nd of June, 2021, and repent. If you don’t repent, the period has come. You’ll die. Your parents will not bury you. We’ll bury you like vultures. Either your hand will be cut off, or they’ll blow your heads off. Your parents won’t even know you’re dead.”

Wike speaks on rampant abductions

Meanwhile, Wike had said insecurity in the country was rising because Nigerians politicise the issue.

Governor Wike made the statement during the visit of the minister of state for agriculture, and rural development, Mustapha Baba Shehuri, to his office on Monday, March 15.

He raised concerns over the spate of abductions and release of schoolchildren by alleged kidnappers in the northern part of Nigeria.
