AirLive has confirmed that an air diver by the name Luke Aikins is now the holder of the record for the highest dive without a parachute.

The man, in a Twitter video shared by @PriapusIQ jumped out of a jet at a height of 7620 meters and landed without the aid of a parachute to set a new record.

In the already blown video, Aikins could be seen in company of about three persons who appear to be skydivers as he performed the mindboggling act.

His performance has sparked mixed reactions from social media users who watched the video.

The record-breaker Luke Aikins

Luke Aikins is no newbie when it comes to the subject of skydiving. According to Wikipedia, the 47-year-old is not just a professional skydiver of American descent but is also a pilot and aerial photographer.

Aikins who had coached the United States Navy SEALs is the first person to achieve the feat of diving from mid-tropospheric altitude and landed safely without the aid of a parachute.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Nigerian man had broken Guinness world record with his special plank exercise.

According to the records, he was able to stay in a plank position for a commendable period of three mins and 16 seconds.

A resident of Albany in America, he achieved the feat by hula hooping at a distance of 152.52 meters. It should be noted that the man also holds a record for the same exercise while climbing stairs.

Many people on Instagram reacted to his video as they commended his muscle strength for going through such a strenuous exercise without failing.
