- Popular Yoruba actor, Olanrewaju James aka Baba Ijesha, is not out of police custody yet
- According to reports, he was granted bail on the afternoon of May 17, 2021, on health grounds
- Ijesha was arrested after he allegedly molested the foster daughter of popular comedian, Princess
He was reportedly granted bail when some magistrates went to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, and they saw him limping.
According to Punch, a police source confirmed that the actor was still in custody because his bail conditions still had to undergo certain required processes.
The source said:
“Aside from the report of the DPP, this is just a recommendation and they are still going to pass it through certain processes. So, Baba Ijesha is still with the police.”
The bail conditions as listed by his lawyer were two reliable sureties, one of which must be a level-10 civil servant, a direct blood relation to the accused, and a N500,000 bail bond.
Recall that Iyabo Ojo said that she would continue to fight for justice in the case of Baba Ijesha's alleged assault of a young girl.
