There was backlash against the Cameroonian government after news broke that Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley’s planned Valentine’s Day concert was cancelled.

However, shortly after the occurrence, the rapper has now taken to his page on Twitter to make a case for Cameroonians and urge blogs to stop painting the country bad.

The Mafo crooner in his post submitted that people in the country are actually good and caring. He also added that Cameroonians love Nigerians and it is only a few people who feel a different way.

The rapper’s tweet elicited mixed reactions from social media users. One Cameroonian lady tweeted in agreement saying:

"Thank you @officialnairamarley, not every Cameroonian artist are bad, one thing for sure is that some of the artists gets very jealous and backstab as well."

Another Cameroonian fan wrote:

"Bro love you from Cameroon we are waiting for your show . communicate the date to us."
