The man was said to have been abducted on the Akara Isuikwuato Road in Abia state alongside an unidentified woman.

It was gathered that the kidnappers seized the duo around 3pm on Wednesday, February 3, and took them into the forest.

A source close to Chinweizu, who spoke in confidence, said the victim attacked one of the kidnappers when he turned his back on him.

Chineweizu reported the matter to the Army, leading to their eventual arrest after the victim identified them at the hospital where they took their injured colleague.
