Manchester City launch appeal against two-year Champions League ban

- Manchester City have launched an appeal against UCL ban

- They will now be waiting for the final judgment from CAS

- City were banned for two seasons after been found guilty of breaking financial rules

Premier League champions Manchester City have finally gone to the Court of Arbitration for Sports where they have submitted an appeal letter against their Champions League ban.

Recently, the Etihad landlords were ordered to excuse themselves from the next two Champions League competitions after been found guilty by the authorities in charge.

Investigation was made in which 31-year-old Rui Pinto was reported to have tendered the evidences which made UEFA to ban Manchester City for two years.

Rui Pinto is however currently in prison where he is facing trials against close to 100 criminal count charges against him.

Initially when the ban came, Manchester City board were said to have told their players not to be perturb because they knew they would appeal the decision.

Court of Arbitration is the highest body in charge of everything that has to do with Sports as the Citizens will now pray that their judgment comes in good favor.

According to the report on UK Sun, Court of Arbitration issued the statement themselves that Manchester City have tendered their appeal process and they will soon come out with the final judgment.

There were reports after Manchester City were banned that some of their big players are planning to leave the Etihad because of their possible failure not to play in Europe.

Even Spanish giants Real Madrid are said to be ready to go for the signing of Raheem Sterling at the end of the season due to Manchester City's ban.

But the good news for the club's fans is that gaffer Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he would not leave the side even if they get demoted to the last lower division.

Meanwhile, Manchester City still have the chance to fight for the Champions League title this season as they first face Real Madrid in the round of 16 encounter.
