Alasoadura, Buhari's minister who rose from being a messenger to CEO in 16 years

- Alasoadura who is the new minister of state for labour once represented Ondo-central senatorial district in the Senate between 2015 and 2019

The touching story of Senator Omotayo Alasoadura, the minister representing Ondo state has caused a stir among Nigerians who see the moral lessons in it.

Alasoadura who was inaugurated into the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, August 21, according to the citation read by Femi Adesina, rose from being a messenger to the CEO of the same company in just 16 years.

A chartered accountant, Alasoadura started work in 1974 as a messenger at Balogun Ayinfalu Badejo & Co, an audit firm, from where he rose through the ranks to become the managing partner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the same firm.

Born on August 12, 1949, he began his elementary education at St Stephens Primary School, Iju and got his First School Leaving Certificate in 1961.

In 1974, he qualified and obtained the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) of England Certificate as well as that of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN).

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Buhari had officially inaugurated 43 ministers into the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for his second term.

The new ministers were sworn in at the Council Chamber, State House, Abuja on Wednesday, August 21.

They took their oaths of office shortly after Boss Mustapha took his as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), for the second time.
