Rivers election: Live updates of results collation (Day 2)
Governor Wike declared winner of Rivers governorship election
Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party has been declared winner of the Rivers state governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the result of the election on Wednesday, April 4.
The incumbent governor scored 886,264 votes to defeat Biokpomabo Awara of the African Action Congress (AAC) who polled 173, 859 votes.
The margin of victory was at 71, 2405 votes while 249, 324 votes were cancelled

Gokana LGA
INEC noted that elections took place in several wards. However, violence broke out at the point of collation resulting in the handover of election materials to security operatives.
Abua/Odua LGA
According to INEC, election was disrupted in the local government due to a rowdy session that resulted in security concern.
