Ugwuanyi is the best man from southeast to be president in 2023 - Utazi

Senator Chukwuka Utazi said that should the Igbo be tasked to produce the nation’s president in 2023, the governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, was best suited for the job in the entire southeast, Vanguard reports.
Utazi representing Enugu North senatorial zone ,who was speaking at a Civic Reception held in honour of the governor by Aku Community in Igbo-Etiti council area of the state on Saturday, May 5, noted that Ugwuanyi has demonstrated capacity and enough leadership prowess as the best performing governor in the entire southeast.
He said: “No other Governor in the South East has been able to match Governor Ugwuanyi’s performance. So he is best suited to lead the country if the south east is given the nod to produce the President come 2023.”

The presidential general of Aku Peoples Assembly, Chief Fidelis Ezeoyili, earlier in an address, commended the governor for his developmental strides in the community. Ezeoyili also announced that the community has endorsed him for a second term in office.
“We, therefore, congratulate your excellency on your numerous landmark achievements despite the hard conditions facing the country as a result of fall in prices of crude oil.
“Preparatory to this civic reception, we the good people of Aku community took stock of your evidenced achievements within the three years of your administration. We believe that Aku is well protected in your Excellency’s hands and that what is due to us will not be denied us.
“And having being satisfied in all respects, we do hereby endorse Your Excellency, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for a second term in office come 2019 General Elections," he said.
Governor Ugwuanyi thanked the community for organising the civic reception in his honour and for unanimously endorsing him for a second term in office.

Legit.ng previously reported that workers and pensioners in Enugu state under the auspices of the Organized Labour, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) held a mega solidarity rally in support of good governance in the state and in appreciation of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his “undeterred friendly disposition” towards them, and endorsed him for re-election in 2019.
The jubilant workers and retirees, who marched from the new state secretariat, G.R.A, Enugu to the venue of the rally at the popular Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, said they “have never had it any better before”.
