The 33-year-old netted 29 goals in the EPL last season to claim yet another Golden Boot, finishing with 34 goals across all competitions.

Though Salah started the new campaign slowly, he already has three goals to his name and remains Liverpool’s main threat in attack, per Footy Africa.

If the Egyptian forward stays fit, he is expected to be right at the top of the scoring charts come May.

2. Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen’s story in Turkey has been sensational.

After a record-breaking loan spell in which he scored 37 goals, the Nigerian striker sealed a permanent €75 million move to Galatasaray this summer.

The 26-year-old is hungry to replicate last season’s numbers and lead his side to another league and cup double.

Despite early injury setbacks, Osimhen already has two goals this season per Transfermarkt, and is expected to be a dominant force in the Turkish Super Lig and beyond.

3. Serhou Guirassy

Guinea international Serhou Guirassy has become one of Europe’s most consistent goal scorers.

After his brilliant stint at Stuttgart, he joined Borussia Dortmund last season and immediately became their leading man in attack.

The 29-year-old scored 34 goals in all competitions last term and was joint-top scorer in the Champions League.

He has started the 2025/26 campaign similarly, netting five times in six matches, making him one of the most dangerous forwards to watch this season.

4. Bryan Mbeumo

Cameroon’s Bryan Mbeumo earned his big move to Manchester United after a standout season at Brentford where he scored 20 league goals.

The winger has hit the ground running at Old Trafford, already finding the net twice for his new club.

If Mbeumo maintains his form, he could finish as one of the EPL’s top scorers and give Man United the cutting edge they’ve been missing.

5. Karl Etta Eyong

At just 21, Karl Etta Eyong is making waves in La Liga.

After joining Levante this summer, the young forward has scored four goals already, sitting just behind Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe in the scoring charts.

Eyong could emerge as one of Europe’s surprise packages of the season.

Osimhen returns to Galatasaray squad

In a related development, Legit.ng reported that Osimhen is nearing his return from injury after he was named in Galatasaray's travelling squad to face Alanyaspor on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Osimhen has been out of action since injuring his ankle during Nigeria's 1-0 win over Rwanda after a reckless challenge from defender Claude Niyomugabo.
