9-year-old Boy Injured at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival When Father Fell Unconscious Has Died

The Astroworld festival death toll has risen from eight to 10 people after nine-year-old Ezra Blout died on Sunday. The little boy is the youngest victim to succumb to his injuries and his family has taken legal action against the Goosebumps rapper.

Insider reports that Ezra was on his father's shoulders during the show. As the crowd of 50000 people started pushing up against each other, Mr Blout had been struggling to breathe and so he passed out. When he fainted, Ezra fell off his shoulders and was trampled by the rowdy crowd.

Ezra spent a week on life support after being injured at the concert. News24 reports that Blout's family attorney confirmed that he sadly passed away on Sunday. In a statement confirming the death of the little boy, the legal team said:

"The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son. This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert."

Insider further reports that the Blout family has sued the Sicko Mode rapper and his event organisers over N400 million for trauma as well as the injuries their son sustained at the event.

Travis Scott’s reps confirm he’ll pay funeral costs for fans who died during his concert

Legit.ng reported that rapper Travis Scott has confirmed to the world that he will pay for the funeral expenses for eight fans who were killed following a crowd surge during his performance at the Astroworld music festival in Houston.

The artist, who is facing multiple lawsuits from injured concertgoers, claimed he did not do enough to prevent the chaos, he said in an official statement shared on social media.

Through the statement, Scott's representatives said the star is working with law enforcement to identify and connect with the deceased families.
