El-Rufai at 61, an exemplary leader, mentor, Senator Uba Sani declares

The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the Senate, Uba Sani, has described Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as an "exemplary, inspirational leader, dependable ally and mentor" on the occasion of the governor's 61st birthday.

Legit.ng's regional reporter in Kaduna, Nasir Dambatta, reports that in a birthday message on his verified Twitter handle, the lawmaker, who is also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, said El-Rufai was a blessing not only to Kaduna state but Nigeria as a whole.

He explained that the governor has given new meaning to governance and service in Kaduna state.

The lawmaker stated that at 61 years, El-Rufai is already setting unassailable standards in the state, saying the governor is the true embodiment of selfless service.

He said:

"As we congratulate the inimitable Governor El-Rufai on this milestone, it is our fervent wish that he will not rest on his laurels but will redouble his efforts to achieve his goal of making Kaduna state a model of development.
"We pray Allah continues to give strength to the innovative and dynamic governor He blessed our state with."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Governor El-Rufai gave approval of a foreign scholarship for students living with disabilities in the state.

It was reported that in a statement issued on Sunday, February 14, the executive secretary of Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KSSLB), Hassan Rilwan, made this disclosure, saying two of the students have resumed to the schools.

Rilwan, who spoke at a three-day orientation workshop for its merit and disability-based scholars, gave the names of the schools as Coventry University in the United Kingdom and the University of Wollongong in Dubai, United Arabs Emirates.

According to the KSSLB boss, the Kaduna government under the leadership of Governor El-Rufai is thoroughly committed to creating a special scholarship and bursary for people living with a disability.
