It is indeed a rewarding moment for Nollywood actress Funke Akindele-Bello, who continues to make history with her latest movie project, Omo Ghetto: The saga.
Few weeks after ranking among top movies of the year 2020, the star-studded film has just shattered existing box office records to become the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.

An excited Funke took to her page on Instagram with the good news. The actress wrote in her caption:
"OMO GHETTO (THE SAGA) is the HIGHEST GROSSING NOLLWOOD MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!. This is how we react to this good news."

The record was previously held by The Wedding Part (One); another star-studded movie from the camp of top media executive, Mo Abudu’s Ebonylife Films. The Wedding Party which was directed by Kemi Adetiba garnered N453,000,000 from cinema runs.
Omo Ghetto broke the record with an earning that currently stands at N468,036,300.
Meanwhile, congratulatory messages have poured in for Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, JJC Skillz, who are both behind the success of the movie.
