Hermon Gordon, a cleaner at Bristol University in the United Kingdom has received the best surprise from students who donated money to him as a gift for his kindness. The cleaner was tagged by the students as the epitome of happiness.
The cleaner who is loved by the students received a sum of £1,500 (N705,090) from his students after they created a crowdfund campaign for him.
According to DailyMail, the money was donated for Gordon to take a trip to Jamaica and visit his family. It was gathered that over 230 students donated money into the crowdfund campaign.

The fundme page read 'He is the epitome of happiness'. A video shows Gordon breaking down in tears as he received the money. He was seen thanking the students for their token of appreciation.
It was gathered that the cash gift came with a note addressed to Gordon from the students. In the note, they thanked the cleaner for always giving positive energy in school.

Bristol students' note read: "You have brightened many of our days and we want you to know that we love and appreciate you."

Gordon has been working at Bristol University for 12 years. In an interview with BBC, Gordon expressed that he lives the way he does because he knows that students don't need negative vibes around them.
He said: "I know that these students are studying. You don't want any negative vibes around them. They speak good things to me, I speak good things to them, and I bless them all."

The Bristruths Facebook page revealed that the idea for the generous donation came from a post shared on Facebook.
Bristruths wrote: "It all started with this post on the 19th May. The initial post called Mr Gordon 'the jolliest man I have ever met' and said 'if you wanna reason to smile, go talk to him for a min or two."
