Breaking: Buhari's son involved in a bike accident

A son to President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf Buhari, has been involved in a bike accident in Abuja.

The presidency confirmed Yusuf suffered a head injury and multiple fractures in a power bike accident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday, December 26, night.

Reliable sources said Yusuf was out riding with a friend when the incident happened.

A source of Daily Nigerian newspaper said: “Yusuf was trying to overtake his friend when he suddenly veered off the road and skidded. He lay there unconscious for a while before the first lady was alerted.

“She ordered that he be immediately rushed to Cedarcrest Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. We are more concerned about the head injury than the fractures. As I speak to you, Yusuf is unconscious.

“An air ambulance may take him out of the country any moment," the source added.

Meanwhile, confirming the incident, a State House press statement said, the incident happened in Gwarimpa area of Abuja.

It also said Yusuf had undergone surgery in an undisclosed Abuja clinic.

"President Buhari's son, Yusuf, was involved in a bike accident last night around Gwarimpa in the FCT, Abuja. He broke a limb and had an injury to the head as a result. He has undergone surgery at a clinic in Abuja. He is in a stable condition," the statement said.

President Buhari's aide Femi Adesina has also released a stetement in this regard:

Legit.ng earlier reported that the president's son was listed as one of the most eligible bachelors in Nigeria.

This title was bestowed on Yusuf after his father mounted the presidential seat.

The dangerously handsome young man has a lot of girls wanting to be called his "mrs" and this interest is shown all over social media with some girls even taking his last name (without proper procedure of course), the gesture shows how much this first son is winning the hearts of the ladies.
