- Music star Kelly Hansome has taken to social media with some unkind words for DJ Cuppy
- The singer criticized DJ Cuppy’s music and took a swipe at her recent Gold Dust performance
- Hansome’s post attracted mixed reactions from his followers on Instagram
Heavy criticism is not new to billionaire daughter and entertainer, DJ Cuppy Otedola, and the latest to take a swipe at her is singer Kelly Hansome.
The music star recently took to his page on Instagram to call out the celebrity DJ and criticize her music.
Hansome particularly made reference to a video of Cuppy’s Gelato performance at her Gold Dust live event.
In his post, the singer made fun of Cuppy’s Gelato song with indigenous rapper, Zlatan Ibile, noting that it is “an insult to music as a career and an embarrassment to NAIJA Music.”
Hansome said the DJ’s performance is like mocking real musicians and posed a question as to how the music industry got to its current status.
The singer also suggested that he could have written a proper song for Cuppy if he was approached.
Concluding his post, Hansome asked if anyone would have listened to the celebrity DJ if she wasn’t the daughter of Femi Otedola.

Hansome’s take was equally received with mixed reactions. Read some comments sighted on his page below:
"She was doing well with songs with Tekno and the one with Sarkordie, all of a sudden this."
"You will soon leave music like are you still in music? Your whole career is a wack to some people too so live and let live!"
"Bro forget, she is working so hard to be creative and did not depend on her father's wealth, must people talk in everything that did not concern them??"
"You shouldn’t be talking! Look at your career. You should put all this energy on becoming a better musician. This is the problem with you Nigerians, always looking for a way to bring each other down."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that DJ Cuppy issued a strong warning to people who might be mixing things up about her in a post shared on her Instagram page.
The billionaire daughter made it clear that her kindness should not be mistaken for weakness. Her father, Femi Otedola, also stamped her statement in the comment section.
