Croatia’s hard-tackling defence ace, Sime Vrsaljko has taken a jibe at Argentina’s Albiceleste after comparing them to ‘crying like girls’ during their 3-0 World Cup bashing on Thursday.
Strikes from the trio of Ante Rebic, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic saw the European side race to well-deserved win to top Group D log.
On the other hand, the Jorge Sampaoli-tutored Argentina side could not handle the rampaging Europeans, especially after Chelsea’s Argentine goalkeeper, Willy Caballero ‘gifted’ Rebic the 53rd-minute opening goal.
The Croatian defender further rejected claims credited to Albiceleste boss that the South American side dominated the encounter.
"I don't know what game he watched," the full-back was quoted as saying in a Goal.com report, citing sources at Croatian media.

"I saw Argentinians falling on the floor and crying like girls.
"We were firmer, better, had better chances. They will have to do well in the next game [against Nigeria] to progress to the second round, if they even progress."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Nigerians in Russia were full of joy following Argentina's disappointing defeat to Croatia in their second group game on Thursday.
The result ensured the Croats clinched their qualification to the next round of the competition.
Already, Croatia's last game against Iceland on June 26 is now seen as an inconsequential fixture, after the European side moved to the summit of Group D with 6 points from two matches.
