Massimiliano Allegri is willing to play a chess game as he looks to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to reunite with Man United star Paul Pogba, Daily Mail.

The newly-signed Italian manager is keen to rebuild his squad ahead of next season after the team had a disastrous campaign under Andrea Pirlo.

Pogba spent two seasons under Italian gaffer won two Scudetto and Coppa Italia trophies as well as playing in the 2015 Champions League final.

According to Italian news media outlet Calcio Mercato, the France international could return to the Turin club at the expense Ronaldo.

The United midfielder has a year left on his contract at Old Trafford and a possible renewal has not been discussed with the 28-year-old.

It is understood that a whopping £90million price tag have been placed on the France international and the Bianconeri will not be able to afford the exorbitant fee.

Calcio Mercato further claims that Ronaldo could be involved in the swap deal for the Portuguese's sensational return to the Theatre of Dreams.

Pogba did not win a trophy last season as they lost on penalties to Villarreal in the Europa League in the past week.

The Frenchman scored six goals and nine assists in all competitions for the Red Devils in what seemed to be his best season since his £89m move four years ago.

On the other hand, 36-year-old Ronaldo emerged Serie A's leading topscorer with 29 goals and finally won the Coppa Italia in his third season at the Allianz Stadium.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Simone Inzaghi has been announced as new Inter Milan boss following the resignation of Antonio Conte a few days ago, Daily Mail, Twitter.

Conte who wrestled off the Scudetto from Juventus at the just concluded season will have his former international teammate Inzaghi as his successor.

Inzaghi spent five years as Lazio manager and returned a series of brilliant performances with Rome based club. The 45-year-old has penned a two-year deal with the San Siro outfit.
