Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils seem to have given up on their chase for Borrusia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and view the Wolves star as an alternative. Their quest to sign Jack Grealish is also looking unachievable.
Despite Wolves enduring a disappointing campaign this season, Neto has established himself as one of the few bright sparks.
The 21-year-old has found the back of the net five times, setting up five other goals in 29 Premier League appearances.
With English duo Grealish and Sancho expected to cost on the upward of £100m each, Metro UK reports the Red Devils could make a move for Neto who is viewed as a cheaper option for the pair.
The Old Trafford outfit is said to be in dire need of a right-winger, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to add reinforcements up front ahead of the summer.
Sancho has been previously touted as the likeliest candidate for the role, but his value could once again keep off the Red Devils making his transfer to Old Trafford unlikely.
Grealish, on the other hand, has been widely linked with a potential departure, but it is Man City who are said to be clear frontrunners in the race for the Villa skipper.
The two scenarios have seen doors open for Neto over a potential move to United, with SunSport reporting the Manchester club are also keeping tabs on Leeds United star Raphinha and Sporting Lisbon's Pedro Goncalves.
Raphinha has played an integral part in Leeds' campaign in the top-flight this season, with his performances also attracting the interest of Liverpool.
As for Goncalves, he has enjoyed a blistering form with Sporting, impressing in his first season with the Portuguese giants.
The winger has racked up an impressive 15 goals in just 22 Premeira Liga matches this campaign to cement his place as one of Europe's hottest forwards.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland is ready to snub a switch to the Premier League and move to Real Madrid instead.
Haaland is currently Europe's most in-demand player, with numerous clubs lining up bids in the summer.
The Norwegian hotshot has enjoyed a significant rise to prominence over the last couple of days, thanks to his impressive goalscoring heroics.
