The Red Devils were ruthless against Southampton at Old Trafford as they put nine goals past the Saint Mary's based outfit.

The 23-year-old insisted that the team are more focused on what they can do as he was quoted by Mirror.

“We have to not look at them and just focus on ourselves.
“We’re a team that’s still improving, we’re not a team that’s been a ready-made team for the last two or three years.
“I think we’re just getting there now and we’re still learning a lot as a group so we have to concentrate on ourselves and keep working on improving ourselves.”

The England striker was asked how United were able to score nine goals against Ralph Hasenhuttl's men, he added:

“Just be as simple as possible, keep moving and stay positive.
“It’s easy to take your foot off the gas and just keep possession but we wanted to go out in the second half and score more goals and the lads did that.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Marcus Rashford on Tuesday night, January 2, overtook Eric Cantona in Manchester United scoring charts after netting against Southampton in what was an incredible result for the Red Devils.

Manchester United were at the best of their game in this tie as Anthony Martial also scored two goals for the Red Devils in what was a perfect win for Solskjaer and his men.

Former France international Eric Cantona was no doubt one of the best strikers in the Premier League during his active playing time considering his records and achievement.
