A daring Diallo went on to score a stunning Panenka penalty to double his tally as the Red Devils youngsters marched to a comfortable win.

His impressive performance will undoubtedly catch the attention of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the 18-year-old looks to break into the senior team.

Solskjaer has previously spoken highly of the Ivorian, hinting he will surely find his way into the first team. SunSport quoted Ole saying.

"He is good at finding space, he can go inside and outside and he will get the time to prove that he is the one."

Diallo completed his move to Old Trafford this January from Serie A side Atalanta for an eyewatering £37million.

The fee affords him a place among United's most expensive signings, with the promising attacker placed 12th in the list.

Whereas United landed his signature in the summer, the Premier League side had to wait until January to make the transfer formal as the player had to complete his paperwork.

It now remains to be seen how soon Solskjaer can draft him to the first team especially considering United's depth in attack.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Man United suffered a blow in their title charge after they were held to a barren draw by Arsenal at the Emirates.

Both sides had a number of golden goalscoring chances, they were wasteful in the final third as they shared the spoils at the end of the tie.

However, despite the stalemate away from home, the result was enough to help United ink a new club record under the tutelage of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
