- The Super Eagles legend scored a hat-trick for the Baggies in the same fixture played in 2012

West Bromwich Albion kept their Premier League survival hopes alive following a hard-earned 3-2 victory and it did not go unnoticed with former striker Osaze Odemwingie.

Nigerian international Semi-Ajayi was among the scorers as Super eagles legend Odemwingie also acknowledged the brilliant header scored by the defender.

Odemwingie who spent three seasons at the Hawthorns scoring 30 goals in 87 appearances said on his Twitter handle after the win:

Sam Allardyce men were resolute in the win at the Molineux as Matheus Pereira scored from the spot in the ninth minute before Fabio Silva equalized for Wolves.

Wily Boly then got Nuno Espirito Santo's men in front two minutes before half time but Seni Ajayi leveled matters seven minutes after the restart.

Pereira then scored another penalty which turned out to be the match-winner as the derby ended 3-2 in favour of visiting West Brom.

The last time both teams met in the English topflight division Odemwingie scored a hat-trick, making him the Baggies' first player net three goals in the Premier League.

It was Semi-Ajayi's second league goal of the season for West Brom with his first coming against English champions Liverpool in their 1-1 draw at Anfield.
