Liverpool produced a five-star performance following their 5-0 win over Wolves in an entertaining Premier League fixture played at Anfield.

Goals from Mohamed Salah, Georginio Wijnaldum, Joel Matip, and an own goal by Nelson Semedo was enough to earn all three points.

Wolves started the brighter side as Daniel Podence spotted Caoimhin Kelleher off his line with a delightful chip but the Irish goalkeeper had to prevent the ball from dropping into the net.

At the other end, a dreadful mistake from Conor Coady saw Salah one-on-one with Rui Patricio and the Egyptian punished Wolves to make it 1-0.

Wolves were awarded a penalty right on the stroke of half-time after Mane was adjudged to have fouled Coady in the box.

However, the referee reversed his decision after checking the VAR as there no contact between the Senegalese and the Englan defender.

The second half was a lot better for the Reds as Mane's superb volley was saved by Patricio in the opening three minutes.

A minute before the hour mark, it was 2-0 as Georginio Wijnaldum made a solo run before curling the ball into the top left-hander corner.

Joel Matip made it 3-0 after heading home a short-corner from Salah to put the lead beyond the reach of Wolves.

A fantastic delivery from substitute Trent Alexander-Arnold meant for Mane was steered into the net by Nelson Semedo as it counted as an own goal to make it 4-0.

Liverpool are now level on points with Tottenham who have a superior goal-difference at the top of the Premier Legue table.
