Nigerian Striker Ighalo Finally Makes Much Awaited Entry into Super Eagles Camp in Morocco

Odion Ighalo has finally made his anticipated return to the national team as he joined the rest of the squad in Morocco.

The Super Eagles are currently camped in Morocco ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.

Ighalo's grand entrance into camp

The Al-Shabab striker was welcomed in grand style as he was greeted by the media aide of the team when he came out of the elevator in the hotel.

When asked how does it feel being back, the 32-year-old responded:

"I'm happy to be back, its been long two years plus. It's good to see some of the guys, I've seen Ekong my strongman and hopefully, I'll see the other guys later."

Ighalo's season so far

The veteran striker is who was called back by Gernot Rohr to add to the experience in attack, is expected to make an appearance in the two games.

Ighalo called it quits with international football two years ago after he was top scorer at the AFCON 2019 with five goals.

The former Man United forward has also recorded terrific numbers for his Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab, scoring nine goals in 11 matches.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that all is getting set for Super eagles World qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde as 22 out of 24 players have hit camp in Morocco, Facebook.

Al-Shabab's Odion Ighalo and Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble are the only players left to join the rest of the squad.

Ighalo will be making a return to the national team after calling it quits two years ago after the 2019 AFCON tournament.

Simon, Musa, Collins, Sanusi, Abdualhi entertain players in camp

Legit.ng also reported that the Super Eagles are currently camping in Morocco ahead of their 2022 World Cup qualifier against Liberia and Cape Verde n the coming days.

There has been synergy in camp ahead of the game as well as side attraction which involved captain Amed Musa, Zaidu Sanusi, Shehu Abdulahi, Moses Simon, and Jamilu Collins.

In a video posted on Musa's Instagram, Sanusi was being taught a lesson by Collins and Simon for calling the Super Eagles captain his boy, while Abdulahi caught the incident on camera.
