Pep Guardiola is wary of the fact that Xavi Henandez's appointment as coach of Barcelona would rub off on his team.

Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou outfit after the Englishman says we would welcome a move out of the Etihad.

Xavi will be looking to add to his squad to help rebuild their poor start to the new campaign and Sterling would be an ideal player to fit into Barca's 4-3-3 formation.

What Pep said about Xavi signing players from Man City

And Pep had admitted that his former player who just turned manager of his former team would be interested in signing players from Man City.

"If Barcelona are interested in any of our players, I am convinced that they can get them.
"If Barcelona interests one of our players, they will set up the machinery into operation, it is a liner.
“Barca can use their media to influence signings. That’s the thing about Barcelona; they can do what they want, good or bad.”

Pogba sustains thigh injury while on international duty

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Paul Pogba will not be a part of France's squad that would take on Kazakhstan and Finland for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Man United midfielder sustained a thigh injury and was withdrawn from the rest of Didier Deschamps squad for their two matchday fixtures.

The 28-year-old missed the Red Devils' last two matches against Tottenham and Man City following the red card he got during the 5-1 thrashing against Liverpool.

Legit.ng also reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has broken his silence following Man United's 2-0 defeat to rivals City at Old Trafford.

Eric Bailly's own goal in the early exchanges of the clash and Bernardo Silva's strike on the stroke of halftime were enough to humble United against their arch-rivals.

The loss saw Solskjaer come under immense scrutiny once again, with a section of fans calling for his immediate dismissal.
