Buhari’s Minister Begs Police for Protection Following Threats by Former World Boxing Champion

Sunday Dare who is Nigeria's current Sports Minister has urged police and other security agencies in the country to be on their toes following the threat he got from Bash Ali.

Bash Ali who was former world boxing champion is currently not in good terms with the Minister of Sports and recently accused the 55-year-old of extorting money from him.

According to the report on the Nation, Bash Ali is said to made a video to threat the Sports Minister Sunday Dare claiming that he would come to disrupt the ministry's activities.

Speaking on the development according to the report on Punch, former Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye who is now SA media to Sports Minister rubbished Bash Ali's allegation.

Toyin Ibitoye who is one of the finest Sports reporters in Nigeria added that the Minister will not fold his hands to the threat made by Bash Ali.

“This recent video is irrespective and in disregard of a pending libel suit initiated by the minister claiming damages to the sum of N5 billion against Bash Ali for defamatory allegations made in the past.
“Apart from aggravating the previous defamatory acts, in the present video, Bash Ali has threatened violence and disruptive acts against a functional unit of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
''It is compelling that the security agencies are put on alert so as to avoid a future situation of regret where things are taken for granted.”
